Games are either played resulting in a win, loss or tie outcome, OR they are not played resulting in a one or two team forfeit outcome. Games may be rescheduled using the process in Section 13 of the Bylaws. The league expects all teams to complete the schedule.

Only the League Scheduler can physically change a game in the software. Teams cannot edit, change or cancel games in the software! Failure to notify your Master Convenor of your intent to reschedule prior to the original game date may result in the game being recorded as a forfeit. See Forfeit Rules.

Team's are also responsible for notifying their association of any change they make to their schedule so their association can notify their local umpires of the game change.

a)      Any team unable to play their scheduled game is responsible for making a good faith effort to reschedule that game per Rescheduling Games section. Any games reported as a forfeit will be reviewed and ruled upon by the Division Convenor. Both teams are expected to act in good faith to play the game - this will be a factor in the Division Convenor’s decision.

• Games where both teams fail to complete the original or makeup game in good faith will result in a two-team forfeit. Each team is awarded zero points.
• Games where one team agrees to complete the original or rescheduled game, while the other team does not, are recorded as a 7-0 Win for the team agreeing to play. The winning and losing teams are awarded three points for a win and 1 point for a loss respectively.
• Teams may appeal a game forfeit via the Appealing Forfeits process.

Mobile App

You can now report your softball games scores directly from your TeamSnap phone app. This requires both teams to report their scores, win or lose, as your entry only updates your half of the result. Failing to report your own team's scores will affect your placement in the standings as you will not be credited with standings points:

To report your scores from your mobile phone:

1. Open you TeamSnap app on your phone
2. In your schedule, open the completed game
3. Enter the game scores where it says “Results>Enter Score”.
4. Click OK. Done

When you add your scores via the phone app, your scores will automatically be added to the leagues master schedule and then published to the league website.

Division Convenors (backup only)

If score reporting via TeamSnap's mobile app fails, report your scores to your Convenors.

If there is a discrepancy in the game result, score, etc. your Master Convenor will assist in resolving those issues. Confirming the game score with your opponent before submitting is recommended to minimize potential discrepancies and make for a smooth softball season.

When scheduling new tournament or exhibition games, please check the box next to the “Not For Standings” option. Leaving this box unchecked will result in non-league games being counted in the league standings.

If your tournament results are being added to the standings then you need to edit your game settings. Failing to do this will result in errors in the standings for your whole division.

If you need to contact another team about rescheduling games you can find all the contacts we have on record this website's Team Directory. Any email requests for contacts will be referred back to this directory.

Every team has at least one contact. Please update your own team’s contacts for your fellow coaches using the "Update Your Contact" button . The directory is only as good as you make it.

To add your Coaches, Managers, Scorekeepers or other non-player roles to your TeamSnap account follow this process:

1. Open you TeamSnap app on your phone
2. In your Roster, click the “+” sign in the top right corner
3. Select “Add Player Manually”
4. Create a profile for them
5. Enter Position as Scorekeeper
6. Turn on the “Non-player” toggle to separate them from the players list (good idea for coaches, managers and other too)
7. Turn on the “Manager” toggle to enable them to enter scores
8. Click save

Scorekeepers require you give them Manager permissions to enter scores. Anyone with Manger permissions will also be able to perform other Manager activities as well, including:

• create/edit games in the schedule
• invite new players to join
• can update any editable areas of the team account

Adding uniforms to league games is performed differently for league created games than for team created games. The place to add your uniforms while in the league is under Manager>Team Settings. Here you can set the default colors for home and away games.

Then these default colors will be applied to all your games (league and non-league) automatically when scheduling.

There is currently no way to add Arrive Time (arrive in advance times) for league scheduled games. It works for non-league games as usual. This is a known issue that has been submitted to TeamSnap as a requested feature.

Solution: A work-around is to add pre-game warm-up “event” before league games using the create  “New Event” option. Do not create as a game, or they will display as a game in the schedule. While events do not show on the league website, they will still appear in your own TeamSnap account providing you with a workable solution.

There is currently no way for Teams to add, delete or change details for league scheduled games. You may continue to do so for any non-league games you create as usual.
