The Provincial Women’s Softball Association is pleased to announce its revised Scholarship/Bursary Program for the 2018 softball season.
In 1986, Provincial Women’s Softball Association established a Scholarship Program to provide assistance to female athletes in their pursuit of excellence of post-secondary education.
The inspiration for a revamping of the Provincial Women’s Softball Association Scholarship/Bursary Program was to honour two influential women within the great sport of Softball – Bette Kalailieff and Wendy Cathcart. Brand new categories have been introduced to reflect outstanding achievements of female softball athletes, and to assist them with their educational costs.
This innovative program will provide funding opportunities for individual Student Athletes who are pursuing their studies in post secondary education – College or University. A new category has been introduced where College/University Teams can apply for funding.
For 2018, the Provincial Women’s Softball Association Scholarship/Bursary Committee is looking to distribute up to $9,000 in assistance.
